Calling all postdoc trainees to participate in the 2025 SFB Postdoctoral Recognition Award (SFB-PRA) Competition!
The goal of the SFB-PRA is to recognize excellence in future leaders of biomaterials and provide a platform to present their work to faculty, industry representatives and potential recruiters. Finalists will present at the PRA competition and the award recipients will be selected upon the quality and presentation of their work.
Format: 12 min oral presentation (+3 min Q&A)
Cash Awards: 1st place $250, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $150
Faculty committee will be selected closer to the 2025 Annual Meeting

*An abstract can be similar to or distinct from previously accepted abstracts. The process is quite flexible, offering postdocs the opportunity to present a different perspective if desired.
The Sjögren’s Foundation Research Grants Program places a high priority on both clinical and basic scientific research into the cause, prevention, detection, treatment, and cure for Sjögren’s with opportunities open to both junior and senior-level investigators at US-based institutions.
This award assists investigators in conducting feasibility studies, collecting preliminary data, or other research assistance necessary to advance their project and should help prepare them to pursue additional, larger forms of grant funding.
Funding Amount: $50,000
Proposals will be accepted through March 1, 2025.
The Sjögren’s Foundation Research Grants Program places a high priority on both clinical and basic scientific research into the cause, prevention, detection, treatment, and cure for Sjögren’s with opportunities open to both junior and senior-level investigators at US-based institutions.
This award supports more fully developed research proposals, which should already have the necessary preliminary data and methodology in place to move forward into the next phase of the project.
Funding Amount: $100,000
Proposals will be accepted through March 1, 2025.
MDA Funding Opportunities
MDA invites applications for innovative, multidisciplinary research projects aimed at advancing our understanding of human skeletal muscle regeneration. This RFA seeks to address critical knowledge gaps identified by leading experts in muscle biology, with the ultimate goal of guiding effective therapeutic strategies to restore muscle function in individuals affected by advanced muscle weakness and wasting caused by neuromuscular disease.
ARDF Annual Open Grant Program
ARDF’s Annual Open grant program was established to fund research projects that develop alternative methods to advance science and replace or reduce animal use. Proposals are welcome from any nonprofit educational or research institution worldwide, although there is a preference for U.S. applications to support advancing alternatives here.

Solicits investigator-initiated proposals focusing on research in the science of biologic – reconstruction, bone regeneration, transplantation – allografts, and including stem cells for graft transplantation.
Osseointegration Foundation Research Grants
The object of these grants is to provide funding for basic and applied scientific research of dental implants. The grants are administered by the Academy of Osseointegration and funded by the Osseointegration Foundation.
Advancing Technologies To Enhance Engraftment In Cell Therapy For T1D
- The goal of this funding opportunity is to advance technologies that support the
engraftment of insulin-producing cells following transplantation at extrahepatic sites

BII & Science | Prize for Innovation
To encourage more scientists to translate their research, BioInnovation Institute (BII) and Science collaborate to host an annual award. Through the BioInnovation Institute & Science Prize for Innovation, the editors of Science seek to recognize bold researchers who are asking fundamental questions at the intersection of the life sciences and entrepreneurship.
Our three winners will have their essays published in Science and will be invited into BII’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition, the Grand Prize winner will receive a prize of USD 25,000 and each runner-up will receive USD 10,000 at a grand award ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Osteology Foundation Peter and Annemarie Geistlich-Stucki Grant
The Osteology Foundation aims to support clinical research in the field of oral tissue regeneration, to bridge the gap between scientific progress and clinical practice for the benefit of the patient.
The purpose of the Geistlich-Stucki Foundation is to promote medical research and teaching on a nonprofit basis. The focus of their activities is on tissue regeneration with biological materials, especially in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and in the field of cancer treatment.
The two foundations have now joint forces and developed a joint grant programme to address sound clinical research questions in the field of oral and maxillofacial tissue regeneration.

The National Osteology Group USA is inviting residents and young dentists to participate in its first Case Competition.
Two competition categories are open for submission:
Soft tissue or periodontal regeneration around teeth
Soft or hard tissue regeneration around implants
Three finalists in each category will be invited to present their case during the AAP Annual Meeting in San Diego. Among these, two winners will be selected and awarded.
Deadline for submission is 15 July 2024.

NIH SBIR & STTR Grant Funding Opportunities

As a nonprofit organization, MTF Biologics reinvests to positively affect lives across the globe by offering Allograft Innovation Grants for funding translational and clinical research to advance Allograft Tissue Transplantation and support our mission to Save and Heal Lives. These Fellowships, supported by several major industrial companies, as well as by AADOCR and IADR Group Chapters, Sections, and members, are sponsored and administered by the AADOCR and have been created to encourage dental students living in the United States to consider careers in oral health research. IADR Osteology Foundation New Investigator Award in Oral Tissue Regeneration
The Osteology Foundation promotes research, education and collaboration between universities and industry in the field of oral and maxillofacial tissue regeneration. The Osteology Foundation aims to bridge the gap between scientific progress and clinical practice, as well as between academic and industrial researchers in the field of oral tissue regeneration.
Funding research into all aspects of oral tissue regeneration is a core task of the Osteology Foundation.
SENS Research Foundation regularly funds external research with potential to accelerate the development of rejuvenation biotechnology. Applicants for financial support will be expected to clearly indicate the specific SENS target(s) addressed and explain how their proposed research would further progress toward therapies that remove, repair, replace, or render harmless that target. All proposals are reviewed and selected by our Research Development Committee (RDC), and its decisions are ratified by our Board of Directors. The RDC convenes quarterly. Submission due dates are as follows:
- First Quarter review: by February 1st
- Second Quarter review: by May 1st
- Third Quarter review: by August 1st
- Fourth Quarter review: by November 1st
